THE CHURCH; CHRIST DIPLOMATS
Christ Diplomats is a charismatic movement which started as a fellowship, in obedience to Christ's commission to Christians to go forth and be fishers of men.
The foundational headquarters of the church is located at no 41/43 Wilkie street, Calabar in cross river state of Nigeria, founded by pastor Yosef Efiom who is also the presiding pastor.
He started the actualization of his calling with a torn bible, with almost half of the old testament torn off completely. the early days of the ministry was of a humble beginning with blocks used as chairs, broken beam used as alter and the pastor could only afford a pair of faded blue suit with a multi-mended white shirt, a worn out pair of black shoe over a hallowed pair of shocks.

Though pastor Yosef Efiom was broken and battered, but not defeated because he had focused. the ministry started with nothing, not even a roof as the land was offered to pastor Yosef Efiom at the mercy of God.
It is on record that the first offering collected by the church was N10 (Ten Naira) offered by the priest himself. The mission began on a sour note with harassment form neighbors, police cases, physical violence, court summons and other forms of ill-treatment, all these did not deter and God showed him mercy.
In 2007 his prayer for a life partner was answered and he was greatly blessed with a wife in the person of pastor (Mrs.) Victory Efiom, however his addition to his family did not lessen his challenges rather the challenges intensified.

In spite of numerous challenges facing the ministry at that time, God lifted from strength to strength, increase of worshippers was noted, properties were acquired, the church opened branches and other investment opportunities opened, some of which are stated below;

4 plots of land at Archibong Eso lane off MCC Road Calabar(proposed site for nursery/primary school)

One 24 room hostel at Esuk Atu, University of Calabar Teaching Hospital (UCTH) permanent site.

A 22 room hostel at Orok Orok street, Calabar.

     Immunity finance bank (Microfinance Bank).

Christ diplomats also own an NGO (Life Station), the NGO caters for orphans, the less privileged and the widows within Calabar and its environs, a gesture which earned him an alias (Ebe mme ebekpa) translated as "Care giver to the widows".

As a covenant, Christ Diplomats sponsors gospel overseas contributing their quota of finance for missions abroad, buttressing the bible verse stating "the race is not of the swift, the battle not for the strong nor riches to men of wisdom but time and chance happeneth to them all".

Today against all odds, it is to God's eternal glory and our joy that the land which was once borrowed by us to worship our God and the piece of land adjacent to it has both been acquired by the church, And it is declared as the "lion's cave" where all thing bow.

PASTOR YOSEF EFIOM (PROFILE)
Pastor Yosef Efiom is a native of Calabar South Local Government Area in Cross River State, is the Governor and founder of Christ Diplomats Church. Born into the family of late Chief Lawrence Efiom Edem and Mrs. Helen Bassey Efiom.

He attended Charles Walker International Nursery School and Duke Town Secondary School, Calabar.
He is the first Child in the family of five children. it is worthy of note that since he was of the street, he met Christ in the ghetto, like he always say "winners Chapel came to marina because of me before they moved to their permanent site, because that was my last chance to be saved after several botched attempts”, he was mentored by Bishop David Oyedepo while pastor Joseph Ikechukwu was the resident pastor.

Following his new found faith, he began to critically study and learn about life and then discovered he was without a future, being determined to succeed he sought and gained admission into the Federal Polytechnic Bida, Niger State where he graduated as a petrochemical Engineer.

While searching for a job within the oil industry, he engaged in trading between Lagos and Calabar to keep body and soul together, eventually he lost all he had amassed to armed rubbers on one of the trips to purchase his wares which effectively put a stop to his trading days.

However this experience forced him to register at the University of Mara where he met Ruth and Naomi as co-students there, he studied the word of God and on graduating gave birth to Christ Diplomats Church. The one time street boy who was seemingly without hope, grew up to become a man of honor and a source of hope to his community as the church is focused on weeding young people off the street, restoring hope and fighting the scourge of cultism, drug addiction and other social vices dominant in the society where he comes from a in turn develop them to become responsible and respectable children of God.
Consequently, his dogmatic faith and drive for the things of God has helped him to be an instrument of liberation to thousands of people in Calabar and its environs through his weekly Television program “Word Rain” shown on Fridays at 10:30 pm on CRBC.

He is a personal pastor to believers at home and abroad, some whom he is yet to meet physically but are bound to him by their covenant responsibilities. He parades “the grace not to struggle”, the secret of success of his calling which he received while studying as an undergraduate at the university of Mara.

His wife pilots the single sister’s ministry, together they have proved to be a formidable team surmounting numerous challenges and have become a blessing to their generation.

§  Development in Nigeria Merit Award (DINMA)  which Pastor Yosef Efiom turned down in his refusal “in his own words” Pastor Oyedepo, Pastor Kumuyi, Pastor Adeboye turned down this award in Christian leadership, why then would I accept this unbefitting honor, they want to kill this little anointing I have, wondering when he started and considering men of God like pastor Ikon, a godfather who has pioneered and is still doing rural evangelismis there and have not been offered the award! And I have not started at all!
§  Currently , Pastor Yosef Efiom is the PRO of Cross River State Christian Leaders Forum (CROSSCLEF)

Trekking to and fro Oma Street off IBB way to Wilkie Street, by White House Street, sometimes to pastor's residence then at Fenton Street, by Edibe-Edibe Road. Starving after fasting with Okechukwu Amazi, Late Efa Eyo Bassey , my younger Sister (Eno Udoetor), Pastor and myself. It was really a humble beginning. The first 14day fasting was really an experience sustaining me even till date.
